But let me tell you, amidst the endless cocktails, turquoise waters, and me pretending to be a castaway (with excellent WiFi), there was one standout moment that got me thinking about our industry.
I booked a massage, and the view from the treatment bed? The endless, crystal-clear ocean. I lay there watching fish lazily glide by while the water shimmered in the sunlight. It was hypnotic. Dream-like. And in that moment, I realized how much the view from the bed plays into the entire treatment experience. It’s not just about skilled hands and luxurious oils—what your client sees while lying there can set the tone for their entire journey.
Now, before you roll your eyes and say, “Well, we don’t all have a private island,” hear me out. You don’t need a million-dollar view—you just need a little creativity! Here’s how you can level up the under-the-bed view and create a unique talking point in your spa:
🌿 Mini Zen Garden – A small framed tray with fine sand and pebbles, with a little rake nearby so your therapist can draw relaxing patterns between treatments.
